Job Description What is the Opportunity? The Senior Manager, Business Continuity Management (BCM) will act as a first line of defense advisor for RBC's Technology & Operations (T&O) team. This role drives operational resilience and regulatory compliance (OSFI E-21) by overseeing incident management, recovery strategies, and business continuity plans. What will you do? Strategic Advisory: Provide leadership and oversight to Senior Directors and Executives regarding the BCRM (Business Continuity Risk Management) program. Risk Management: Mitigate operational risks, oversee continuous improvement plans, and ensure compliance with OSFI E-21 and industry standards. Tactical Planning: Manage Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Threat Risk Assessments (TRA), and Business Continuity Plans (BCP). Testing & Readiness: Design and execute simulations, call tree tests, and Work Area Recovery exercises. Incident Management: Partner with cross-functional teams to build a resilient, multi-disciplinary Incident Management framework. Reporting & Governance: Develop compliance reports, monitor BCRM metrics, and maintain governance documents/training materials. What do you need to succeed? Must have: - Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. - Proven experience in Business Continuity, Crisis, Disaster Recovery, or Risk Management. - Exceptional critical thinking, relationship-building, and communication skills. - High adaptability to manage competing deadlines and results-oriented goals. - Experience in large-scale global matrix environments or financial institutions. - Strong background in data analysis and risk-management mindsets. Nice to have: - Completion of Associate Business Continuity Professional certification (ABCP) or CBCP. What’s in it for you?
