This is a generic job description encompassing the duties of technicians in several departments, working to strict ISO9001 procedures and processes.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Skills Base</strong></p> <ul> <li>Good communication skills and effective team player.</li> <li>Soldering &amp; wiring of connectors and assemblies.</li> <li>Understanding of technical drawings/ wiring schematics.</li> <li>Computer literate.</li> <li>Good organization skills with an ability to develop creative solutions to problems.</li> <li>Ability to work on own initiative</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assemble parts supplied in kit form as per engineering drawings.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Prepare supplied parts for termination and encapsulation.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Carry out electrical terminations and splices through soldering and mechanical processes.</li> <li>Carry out Fibre Optic terminations in line with the defined processes.</li> <li>Mixing and casting of a variety of Polyurethane, Polyethylene, and epoxy resins.</li> <li>Interpret technical engineering drawings to manufacture in line with process specifications.</li> <li>Manufacture of connectors and connector inserts from raw components.</li> <li>Handle and store chemicals for cleaning, priming, and moulding strictly adhering to health and safety procedures.</li> <li>Attend on-site, both UK and abroad, to assist customers with installation, testing and monitoring of applications.</li> <li>Test products and accurately record and document results.</li> <li>Maintain all machinery and equipment to proper standards on a regular basis.</li> <li>Maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure the working environment is always customer friendly.</li> <li>Assist with training and job or product awareness for other staff within the Group.</li> <li>Maintain the Group management behaviours practices and equal opportunity policy.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Internal and External Relationships</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li><strong>Technicians</strong></li> <li><strong>Quality Control</strong></li> <li><strong>Auditors</strong></li> <li><strong>Engineers</strong></li> </ul>
