ContextOur team needs to grow extremely fast, and Wheel the World has a unique culture that needs to be nurtured while we scale. We are building a world-class team, and we believe people are the most important asset to achieve our goals and make the world accessible. Our culture is pretty unique. We are a remote team of 27 people, soon to be 60, represented by 10 nationalities, 60% women, horizontal, and passionate about our purpose.

We are looking for an extremely passionate âpeopleâs personâ, with a unique disposition to get their hands dirty and get things done, by themself, when necessary. Your MissionYour mission is to design and execute strategy for people operations and culture development of Wheel the World. This role has to focus on bringing the best talent, creating a fun and light work environment, yet be able to see the big picture and understand how small actions make up a larger effort, strategizing as a CEO would.
We are in a crucial moment in which our unique culture needs to be guided in the direction we want so we achieve our strategic goals. Having fun, supporting each other, and learning through the process. Â This position even goes a step further to take on some managerial traits as the Head of People & Culture also understands what moves each employee, and how to encourage the best out of each one of them to blossom. You will work directly with founders to build this strategy and work collaboratively with managers who will help you implement it.

ResponsibilitiesAs the Head of People & Culture youâll be responsible for the full employee lifecycle: recruiting, compensation, payroll, benefits, legal compliance, policies, career development, training, necessary departures, just to name a few — ensuring we have a well functioning, fair, and transparent systems in place as we grow. Â However weâre looking for more than that; we need someone who cares deeply about people and who will help make sure that everyone at WTW is happy, healthy, and doing the best work of their careers. This will be a key role on our leadership team.
