The role: In this position you are part of the Animal Nutrition team Bnlx France and are responsible for the management and development of products and services for the Animal Nutrition and Petfood sectors. You are responsible for the customers in the Bnlx France region, business development and marketing. You are responsible for achieving sales targets and projects in collaboration with the Animal Nutrition Team. In this role you report to the Business Manager Animal Nutrition West. You work with a team of like-minded colleagues and your primary objectives are to develop and execute product and supplier strategies to deliver profit and volume growth, develop new business and optimize the financial return of existing business. The role holder may be based in one of our offices in the Netherlands or Belgium or France. Responsibilities: Drive business results: - Full accountability for delivering key business metrics (gross profit, volume, inventory); - Create and execute product group, product and supplier strategies, including volume targets, gross margin and other commercial objectives (in cooperation with product management); - Negotiate contracts, agree on volume bundling; - Support the Business Manager Animal Nutrition West in achieving the budget targets for the mutually agreed product portfolio in Bnlx / France. Product and business development: - Identify and implement new products and suppliers. Exploit customer and market potential to achieve growth; - Support revenue growth of the product portfolio; - Provide product-market information to internal stakeholders and evaluate product performance; - Provide input for improvements in the supply chain. Leadership/Relationships: - Develop strategic and operational relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the relevant customer communities; - Develop strong relationships with internal colleagues and have the ability to steer and influence without direct authority; - Lead an internal network for local product management and business development focused on the product group to ensure delivery of the strategies. Job requirements Education: - Master's degree (e.g. Animal Sciences, Biochemistry, Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent level of education. Work experience: - At least 5 years' experience in sales to large and complex, multi-country/regional customers; - Work experience in Animal Nutrition is a plus. Personal competencies: - Providing technical and application advice; - Track record in developing strong and influential business relationships; - Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as cultural sensitivity; - High level of analytical and conceptual thinking; - High level of self-motivation and the ability to create opportunities to generate business; - Take ownership and meet deadlines; - Enthusiastic, determined and motivated; - Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Language skills: Knowledge of the languages French and English necessary (spoken and written) and Dutch. Mobility: This position is mobile in nature; approximately 50% of working time travelling.
