The right candidate is someone who has deep expertise building a variety of cloud solutions and is passionate about working with our customers, partners, and employees to drive the business forward. Your mission will be to work alongside Caylent’s Architects and Delivery Managers to deliver AWS cloud solutions across our diverse and innovative customer base. </span></p> <p><br><strong>Your Assignment</strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Development</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Evaluate libraries, tools, and services for suitability</li> <li>Own the implementation of stories and other engineering of advanced cloud&nbsp;work for clients</li> <li>Perform research and documentation for problems and potential solutions</li> <li>Use various frameworks and methodologies to fully qualify problems, pain points,&nbsp;and potential jeopardies</li> <li>Build on Cloud Native patterns, IoT back-ends, serverless architectures, and&nbsp;highly automated work patterns and delivery methods</li> <li>Augment and design support systems and response procedures and coordinate&nbsp;hand-off to Cloud Operations (CloudOps) Support Engineers</li> <li>Hands-on involvement in the development of projects. Enforces standards, procedures, and methodologies for the software development life cycle. Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail</li> <li>Participate in cross-functional implementation teams to deliver solutions to&nbsp;clients</li> <li>Share knowledge and skills with other team members and client teams</li> <li>Write cool blog posts, do talks at community events, help us achieve additional&nbsp;certifications in the AWS Partner Community, help our clients solve all sorts of&nbsp;problems</li> <li>Occasional travel may be required to meet stakeholders, kick off new projects,&nbsp;attend conferences, and attend company functions.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Observability and Monitoring</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and build scalable architectures leveraging AWS services with&nbsp;an emphasis on reliability, security, and cost efficiency.</li> <li>Build and maintain observability solutions using AWS native (e.g., CloudWatch,&nbsp;X-Ray, Config) and partner tools (e.g. Datadog, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry) for&nbsp;APM, infrastructure monitoring, logging, and tracing.</li> <li>Work with a 24x7 response team and operations leadership group to help&nbsp;establish the precise collection of metrics, data and logs needed to properly&nbsp;monitor an application or workload</li> <li>Within this observability framework help establish corresponding runbooks and&nbsp;automation that can be deployed when certain metrics and conditions&nbsp;(monitoring) are met</li> <li>Work with the CloudOps teams in effort to reduce noise and address root causes&nbsp;of issues surfaced</li> <li>Partner with DevOps and security teams to ensure the necessary resilience,&nbsp;security, and cost-optimization features are embedded in solutions</li> </ul> <p><strong>General</strong></p> <ul> <li>Learn, coach, and share knowledge and skills with other team members</li> <li>Prepare work for team members of varying levels of experience, defining stories&nbsp;and task type work</li> <li>Contribute to internal IP and open source development</li> <li>Participate in delivery efforts using Agile or other work methodologies</li> <li>Build relationships with vendors and partners</li> <li>Engage with clients including presentations, technical decisions, and education&nbsp;opportunities</li> <li>Learn, research, and stay up to date on best practices and evolutionary capability&nbsp;in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud</li> <li>Be a technical team advocate, ensuring clear direction and efficient execution</li> <li>Perform code reviews, provide feedback, and pair when beneficial</li> <li>Keep an eye out for opportunities to support our clients in even greater ways</li> <li>Write cool blog posts, do talks at community events, help us achieve additional&nbsp;certifications in the AWS Partner Community, help our clients solve all sorts of&nbsp;problems</li> <li>Occasional travel may be required to meet stakeholders, kick off new projects,&nbsp;attend conferences, and attend company functions.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p style="padding-left: 120px;">&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Your Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years of general IT experience (programming, hardware, software, etc);
