Job Description: The Power Platform Engineering Specialist 2 role works within our Microsoft Private Sector team to own major engineering initiatives. This role delivers successfully in a variety of core frameworks, patterns, and methodologies. The role heavily influences the technical craft of the team and serves as a source of direction to others on a team-wide level in addition to their own delivery. We are specifically looking for a manager-level resource who has substantial hands-on experience with PCF controls and the Power Platform. Responsibilities: Demonstrates strong competence in a variety of core technology frameworks, patterns, and methodologies. Translates complex technical needs into meaningful solutions and guides others, including business stakeholders, to understanding. Influences and at times sets direction on tools, standards, and other way of work items for multiple teams. Ensures software meets all requirements of quality, security, scalability, extensibility, etc. Guides Proof-of-Concepts for new solutions and/or technologies and provides pro/con inputs to the team for decision making. Effectively communicates risks, trade-offs, pros/cons from a technical perspective to guide the business to make informed decisions. Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Information Systems, engineering fields, MCA, or equivalent experience. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - 10–14+ years of relevant experience. - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and Design Patterns. - Experience in .Net applications and SQL Server platform using T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions is a plus. - Experience executing and managing integration projects. - Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and/or Power BI reporting concepts. - 3+ years of hands-on experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Power Platform PCF control development; React experience preferred. - Excellent experience with model-driven Power Apps customizations and advanced configurations. - Excellent experience with Power Platform development via Plugins/Workflows/Actions concepts. - Experience with Power Apps Control Framework (PCF) development. - Strong understanding of Dynamics 365/Dataverse SDK features/Methods. - Excellent debugging skills. - Experience with Dynamics 365/Dataverse Product Modules (Sales/Marketing/Service/Field Service). - Strong understanding of Power Apps Solution Management concepts (Managed, Unmanaged, Cloning, Patching). - Strong understanding of Power Apps Security Management concepts (security, roles, privilege, teams, access team, field-level security). - Strong understanding of data migration techniques (SSIS packages using Kingsway, Power Platform Data Import wizard, or custom console app). - 2+ years of experience working with Power Automate (MS Flow). - 2+ years of experience working with MS Portal/Power Portal/Power Pages. - Experience with using Azure services such as Service Bus, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Web Jobs, API Manager, and Azure App Services. - Must have worked in an Agile setup. - Experience leveraging Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira for work item management, as well as Git for version control. - Experience with CI/CD automation for automated solution deployment is a plus. - Experience with a JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar. - Experience with Power Apps Canvas App or Dynamics 365 Field Service is a plus. - Experience with VS Unit Testing is a plus. - Holds one or more technology certifications.
