Prevention Advisor II

HSE OFFICER Our HSE team currently has an opening for an HSE Officer at our location in Deerlijk. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES As an HSE Officer you actively contribute to the continuous development of the company’s safety policy. In cooperation with the HSE team you diligently carry out safety tasks, including: - Implementing and monitoring safety procedures - Evaluating and assessing incident and accident investigations - Developing preventive measures - Preparing commissioning reports - Performing risk analyses (both statutory and task-related) - Keeping the internal emergency plan up to date - Assisting the management line in the development of the work permit system You follow up on the statutory periodic inspections of various installations and equipment. You ensure the practical follow-up of certain safety files (e.g. practical planning of specific trainings, practical organization of visits by various authorities). You manage the documents of the safety files. You take initiative to locally encourage employees to implement HSE policy. You propose improvements and initiate related projects, foster good team spirit and motivate personnel. You closely monitor the proposed budget for investments and work under the responsibility of the HSE manager. YOUR PROFILE You preferably hold a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree equivalent through experience. You also hold the qualification of prevention advisor level 2 or you are willing to follow this training in the short term. You have strong communication skills and can interact well with both colleagues and external parties. You are a hands-on person with sufficient interest in production processes. You have a good command of French, Dutch and English. You are familiar with MS Office tools; ERP experience is also a plus. You can organize multiple tasks effectively and working discreetly is a requirement.
