Operations Manager

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing all operational activities of GRA Comércio, encompassing logistics, inventory, production, shipping, and marketplace operations. They act strategically to ensure operational efficiency, meet deadlines, reduce costs, standardize processes, and foster integration between areas, ensuring sustainable growth and excellence in customer service. Strategic Operations Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise logistics, inventory, production, and shipping operations. Define operational priorities aligned with the company’s commercial and strategic demands. Ensure efficiency, productivity, and standardization of operational processes. Act as a link between operations, commercial, procurement, finance, and management. Logistics and Inventory: Manage the flow of receiving, storage, selection, shipping, and transportation of goods. Ensure appropriate inventory levels, avoiding shortages and surpluses. Monitor inventories, stock accuracy, and logistics indicators. Optimize routes, delivery times, and freight costs. Production (Screens, cuts, and internal manufacturing): Plan and monitor the production of screens, canvas cuts, hoses, rubbers, and acrylics (and other products). Ensure deadlines, quality standards, and safety in production are met. Integrate production with inventory, sales, and logistics to efficiently fulfill orders. Propose improvements in production processes to achieve efficiency gains and reduce waste. Equipment Maintenance: Marketplace and E-commerce (Mercado Livre): Oversee the operation of Mercado Livre and other digital channels from an operational perspective. Ensure SLAs, shipping times, packaging quality, and account reputation are upheld. Integrate logistics, inventory, and shipping with e-commerce demands. Monitor operational indicators of the marketplace (shipping time, delays, returns). Manage inventory with third-party partners (Full – ML). People Management and Leadership: Lead operational teams (logistics, inventory, production, and shipping). Distribute tasks, monitor performance, and foster team development. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, use of PPE, and good operational practices. Resolve conflicts and improve the organizational climate within operations. Indicators, Processes, and Continuous Improvement: Develop and monitor performance indicators (productivity, costs, deadlines, losses, rework). Prepare operational reports for management. Propose continuous improvements in processes, layout, systems, and workflows. Support strategic projects for operational growth and restructuring. Ensure systematic information. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Technical Knowledge MINIMUM AND DESIRED EDUCATION: Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Production Engineering, or related fields. Desired: Post-graduation in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Management. ADDITIONAL COURSES: Operations and Process Management Logistics and Supply Chain Inventory and Production Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) EXPERIENCE: Solid experience in operational management, logistics, inventory, and/or production. Desired experience with e-commerce or marketplaces (Mercado Livre). Experience with leading operational teams.
