Director of Talent Acquisition (Deep Technology Recruitment)

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Recruitment to lead and scale a multi-country technology focused talent acquisition function from our Belgrade hub. The ideal candidate has extensive experience running high-volume, high quality technical recruitment across the UK, Eastern Europe, South America, and North America, with a background in international recruitment organisations and leadership of teams of 10+ recruiters. This role partners with global stakeholders and drives strategic, data-led recruitment delivery across multiple time zones and markets.
Requirements
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, develop, and mentor a distributed team of 10+ recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee recruitment delivery across multiple regions, ensuring alignment to market-specific needs.
Recruitment Strategy & Delivery
- Design and execute recruitment strategies for technical and niche roles across the UK, Eastern Europe, South America, and North America.
- Manage high-volume hiring pipelines and drive operational efficiency across all markets.
- Implement advanced sourcing strategies and market-specific talent mapping.
Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across global business units.
- Partner closely with HRBPs, finance, and regional leadership to align hiring plans and objectives.
- Manage external vendors, recruitment partners, and technology suppliers to optimise delivery and cost.
Operational Excellence
- Own recruitment operations including process standardisation, global compliance, system governance, and reporting.
- Ensure consistent candidate experience across regions and continuous optimisation of interview and selection processes.
- Analyse metrics and trends to drive improvements in speed, quality, and efficiency.
Employer Brand & Market Intelligence
- Strengthen employer brand presence across targeted regions.
- Deliver insights on talent availability, competitor activity, compensation benchmarks, and regional hiring behaviours.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to GDPR, regional hiring legislation, and global ethical recruitment standards.
Preferred Experience
- Leadership experience in Belgrade or similar emerging talent hubs.
- Familiarity with modern recruitment technologies (ATS, CRM, sourcing/assessment tools — without platform names).
- Experience delivering diversity and inclusive hiring initiatives.
- Vendor management and budget ownership.
- Experience with senior technical and engineering leadership hiring.

Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of recruitment experience with strong expertise in technical and high-volume hiring.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing 10+ recruiters across multiple countries.
- Proven experience recruiting across the UK, Eastern Europe, South America, and North America.
- Strong track record within international recruitment organisations (in-house, RPO, or agency).
- Advanced knowledge of recruitment operations, process excellence, interview design, and reporting.
- Excellent English communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation.
- Strong understanding of labour markets and compliance across multiple regions.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex, matrixed organizations.
