For the position of Team Lead Underwriting Support (m/f/d), we are looking for a new colleague (m/f/d) to strengthen our team at one of our German AIG locations as soon as possible. What to expect: - Building and maintaining close working relationships with Underwriting and Shared Service Center to ensure efficient end-to-end processes and tailored solutions. - Leading and managing a regional team of Underwriting Assistants, including clear goals, quality, and performance metrics, and serving as the first point of contact for the business in the delivery of services by Operations. - Actively contributing to the further development and transformation of the Standard Commercial Underwriting platform as well as cross-departmental corporate solutions/initiatives. - Ensuring transparent communication and close coordination with stakeholders; regular reporting on status, progress, and process changes. - Participating in review-relevant matters, deriving key insights, and initiating and implementing suitable action plans. - Acting as the central point of contact for service and operations topics: identifying challenges, minimizing risks, and performing proactive follow-ups until sustainable solutions are achieved, alongside continuous process optimization and standardization. What you bring: - A completed degree in law or business administration or a comparable field of study (Master’s degree is advantageous) or equivalent education. - At least several years of professional experience in the field of commercial insurance and initial experience as a team lead is mandatory. - Solid knowledge of program and reinsurance structures. - Completed courses for obtaining CPCU, ARM, or other relevant designations in the commercial insurance industry preferred but not required. - Advanced knowledge of commercial property insurance contract forms and regulatory requirements. - Appropriate combination of knowledge in pricing, coding, and underwriting assistance in commercial property insurance. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Proactive, independent working style with strong time management, problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills.
