Site Manager
Reporting to the LMSO Regional Operations Manager you will lead all aspects of site activities to ensure safe, continuous and efficient running of site operations. This role is a hands-on management role, whereby the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of leading operations on an Upper Tier COMAH site, to contribute to delivery of Safety Performance, service and EBITA budgeted expectations
As the Site Manager, it will be your responsibility to:
Manage the performance and personal development of the Lutterworth Team to drive behaviours aligned with our value of Safety First
Lead the site teams to ensure all activities are undertaken safely, efficiently and cost effectively in accordance with group Policies and Procedures
Lead the site team to create a high performing culture where team members are motivated, engaged, and supported to develop and achieve their potential.
To deliver unrivalled service excellence whilst maintaining rigorous cost control by maximising fleet utilisation, enhancing fuel efficiency, and fostering a culture of proactive compliance and safety
Manage / Support Site Safety Assessments including Site Safety Walks, Risk Assessments, JSAs etc
Lead Site reporting and investigations into Accidents, Incidents, Miss-Loads and Near Misses and ensure corrective actions are embedded into site operating practices and procedures.
Lead and support site Emergency Drills
Lead/assist with Site Audits including Safety Audits, Customer Audits, Internal Audit Schedules and Regulatory visits
Support with Site Capital Projects and Improvements including Management of Change process
Support site maintenance activities including the site asset & computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) covering all assets on the Lutterworth Site
Actively report on Operational, Safety and Service KPIs
Actively engage in and instigate site improvement and excellence projects
Undertake customer installation inspections.
Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate line managers from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and ability.
Health & Safety: Comply and promote all statutory and company safety policies and instigate work practices, which results in a safe and healthy workplace.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Key Interfaces: Customers, Suppliers, LMSO Regional Operations Manager, Operations Director, Depot Staff, Central Ops and Compliance.
Your skills & experience:
Chemical industry background - Essential
Working Knowledge of COMAH 2015 Regulation - Preferred
Experience in working in a Safety Driven environment – Essential
Proven experience in a leadership role, developing a motivated, engaged and high performing team
Experience in liquid process engineering in a manufacturing environment – Essential
Working knowledge of key regulations such as Health and Safety at Work Act, PUWER, LOLER, Electricity at Work and Confined Space Working etc
