Responsibilities Sorting, collecting, and delivering mail safely and on time. Providing a qualified replacement or assistant for vacation/absence or overtime coverage (if required). Acquiring and updating knowledge of local infrastructure such as streets, customers, and mailboxes. Ensuring safe storage of mail during delivery. Processing various CPC products and services (e.g., notification of address changes, damaged mail, proof of delivery for delivered items). Wearing a Canada Post ID during delivery and making the ID visible. Lifting and carrying items up to 22.7 kg. Experience with delivery and driving a motor vehicle under different weather and traffic conditions. Requirements Minimum vehicle cargo space of 50 cubic feet (1415 liters). Automatic transmission and power windows. Metallic roof and power source for attaching a Canada Post sign and flashing light. Passenger-side window bench must be 38 to 45 inches from the ground. Optional: Five-door vehicle or hatchback for easy loading of bulky items. Current auto liability insurance for business use of the vehicle. Proof of satisfactory driving record.
