Product Manager – BES

About the role: Your key responsibilities will be to manage an assigned portfolio of strategic suppliers across the Brenntag UK & Ire organisation. This will involve gathering, analysing and communicating market conditions for the allocated products. Establish and build working relationships with suppliers and develop new relationships when necessary. Travel will be required to customers, suppliers and industry events. Define and negotiate the best prices and support from the supplier base. Effectively manage specific supply scenarios such as FM’s, product shortages, allocations and manufacturing issues. Engagement with the wider business is key. Seek new market and product opportunities. Complete reports on a monthly and quarterly basis for the relevant stakeholders within the business, such as commercial reports and presentations. Responsible for the delivery of annual Gross Profit. Manage and support stock holding and working capital. Strong communication and persuasion skills are required for implementing strategies. Monitor, evaluate and clearly communicate market dynamics and product opportunities. Collaborate with the sales team to drive existing supplier relationships forward and expand them where appropriate. Deliver and present the necessary product training and commercial updates when required. Essential - Must have experience of working in chemical distribution.
