Machine Learning Researcher (all genders) – Hybrid, Berlin
Why should you choose us? You will work in an interdisciplinary team of colleagues with a solid background in mathematics and statistics. We offer flexible working hours (full-time and part-time) and have a nice office with good coffee in Berlin Schöneberg. We prefer a hybrid working model, but are also open to remote work. We believe in science and support you in publishing your research results. Here are short descriptions of some projects we have worked on. Estimating the number of solar panels that fit on a roof (Computer Vision): Given a satellite image and a ground-level image of a house, certain elements of a roof (including obstacles, dormers, etc.) should be automatically detected to determine how many solar panels fit on it. This involves deriving 3D information from 2D images to determine the roof pitch. Detecting, classifying and suggesting the legal effectiveness of text passages (NLP): Automatically processing thousands of legal documents with the goal of classifying certain paragraphs and assessing their legal effectiveness. This includes converting scans to text, developing a labeling scheme (problem modeling) and automatically detecting different types of paragraphs before tackling the inference task.
