The Opportunity As a dedicated Loan Officer, you will deliver impactful customer service to members within defined guidelines and framework while providing mortgage product solutions that contribute to the member’s financial security. You will facilitate mortgage product sales and member service through multiple channels including phone, email, mail, and digital platform, and provide individualized mortgage loan recommendations. Key responsibilities include achieving monthly metrics and building deeper member relationships by assessing needs and offering solutions from USAA's products and services. You will stay actively engaged in the mortgage industry, including updates to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines. We offer a flexible work environment where you are required to be in the office four days per week in our Phoenix office. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. What you'll do: - Process VA and Conventional mortgage loans, both purchase and refinance, within service level objectives, under limited supervision and established risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements. - Assess and approve or deny mortgage applications based on predetermined requirements. - Manage a pipeline of member calls concerning mortgage products; conduct daily phone calls and handle voicemail/email correspondence. - Collaborate closely with Processors, Underwriters, and Closers to deliver mortgage products within specified timelines. - Keep members and third parties informed of loan status through phone communications. - Stay updated on compliance and regulatory requirements, identifying and managing existing and emerging risks stemming from business activities. - Develop and maintain successful partnerships with Real Estate Agents. What you have: - High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. - At least 2 years of mortgage sales experience or relevant customer service experience within the financial services sector. - Successfully complete mortgage products assessment. - Acquisition and maintenance of applicable licenses/state registrations as required. What sets you apart: - Mortgage Consumer Direct experience. - 2+ years of sales OR experience in a high-volume contact center. - Current or prior NMLS #. - US military experience through service or as a military spouse/domestic partner. Compensation range: The base salary for this role is $45,000.00 annually, including an un-capped tiered incentive program. USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Compensation: USAA has an effective process for gathering market data and setting salary ranges to ensure competitiveness. Compensation is based on experience, regional market data, and the position. The actual salary may vary depending on location.
