You will have a direct impact on Qonto’s legal efficiency and compliance during our expansion and will work closely with Sergej Peter Braun, our Legal Counsel Expert. As a Legal Intern (m/w/d) at Qonto you will: Support pre-litigation and litigation procedures: You will help prepare cases, follow up and maintain structured documentation. You will gradually take on more responsibility, also in a dynamic environment with a high workload. Contribute to contracts and corporate law matters: You will assist in drafting and reviewing commercial and service contracts and help with corporate formalities. Conduct legal analyses for new features: You will review new features rolled out in Germany with regard to compliance and market readiness. Support Operations and Customer Care teams: You will handle complaints and pre-litigation matters, contributing to smooth cross-functional collaboration. This is a 6-month full-time internship starting mid to late April (ASAP), ideally in Berlin (preferred) or Paris. 🤔 What to expect Market and team context: You will work in a fast-paced environment and gain hands-on experience with the legal processes of the German market. At the same time you will gain insights into our activities in Austria, the Netherlands and Serbia. Cross-functional collaboration: You will regularly work with teams from Operations, Product, Brand Marketing and HR and see firsthand how legal strategies are linked to broader company objectives. Our tools: You will gain practical experience using modern legal-tech tools, including ContractPod AI and our CLM systems (Contract Lifecycle Management). 🤝 About your future manager Your manager, Sergej Peter Braun, acts as the de-facto General Counsel for Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Serbia. He previously worked as Senior Legal Counsel at Mondu (Fintech) and brings extensive expertise at the intersection of law and financial technology. He will be a strong mentor and show you how to effectively support operational, commercial and product teams on all legal aspects. 🏅 About you German legal research and analysis: You are studying German law or have a corresponding qualification, for example the first state examination. You also have a good understanding of legal research methods. Contract management & localization: You bring a solid understanding of contract law fundamentals and want to apply this knowledge to commercial contracts. Legal communication & stakeholder management: You speak German at native level and have very good English skills. You communicate in a structured, audience-appropriate way with various stakeholders. Legal advisory support: You are able to break down complex legal concepts and explain them simply and understandably to different business stakeholders. Legal tech affinity: You are tech-savvy, open to using digital tools and willing to learn how to use legal tech efficiently.
