Voluntary engagement — Join and get involved. Together we help here and now! Anyone can help, whether lifeguard, dog handler or hobby cook – with or without prior knowledge. If you want to gain new experiences and be active in a community, get involved with ASB Berlin. There are countless reasons to volunteer: to meet new people, to acquire new skills, to do something meaningful in your free time and to help other people. Everyone finds their own reason here. What they all have in common is that it is above all fun and increases quality of life. We support you during your valuable service to society. Profile: You should above all bring interest and enthusiasm to learn new skills and meet new people. We will teach you everything else during onboarding and further training. In child and youth care, we only deploy people whose suitability is unquestionable. In these particularly sensitive areas we require both full-time and volunteer staff to submit an extended certificate of conduct. The time commitment depends on the area in which you would like to volunteer. Some activities are weekly for two hours, for example the reading mentors in our day-care centers, while other services can last the whole weekend, such as the water rescue service. We are mainly looking for people who can imagine a long-term activity with us. We do not need application documents; feel free to use the field "Anschreiben" if you have questions or want to tell us in which area you would like to volunteer! We offer: The ASB will gladly issue you a certificate of your activities. In addition, we support you in your commitment and implement a culture of recognition within the organization. Do I have insurance coverage? Your safety is very important to us, therefore you are insured against accidents and liability during your activity and on the way to the assignment. In addition, there are protection concepts and protective clothing in the various areas, with which you will be equipped. Are expenses reimbursed? Travel and meal expenses during duties are of course covered. Training costs are also covered.
