What to expect? Design complex FPGA-based applications as well as in adjacent areas of electronics and hardware development. Oversee the entire system: from the hardware description (HDL) through embedded software to integration into electronic assemblies and control units. Develop applications both as bare-metal implementations and using embedded operating systems (e.g. PetaLinux). Write embedded software and the appropriate drivers for your hardware functions. Implement and test your solutions in product and hardware development. Evaluate technical parameters such as timing, signal behavior, resource usage, real-time performance and system stability. Expand your skills both in the FPGA world and in adjacent hardware areas (e.g. digital circuit design, PCB Design & Layout, hardware verification & test, ECU development). Work in interdisciplinary project teams consisting of hardware, software and system development and accompany our projects through all phases. What you bring? Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems or a comparable field of study. Solid experience in FPGA development and/or in hardware development as well as openness to adjacent areas of hardware development (e.g. ASIC/SoC, digital circuit design, hardware verification & test). Knowledge in HDL development, PetaLinux, AXI bus architecture, PS/PL interfacing as well as clocking strategies. Experience with Vivado, Vitis or comparable toolchains. Ideally practical experience in circuit design, PCB layout, testing and hardware verification. Desirable: experience with tools such as Altium Designer or ZUKEN CR 8000.
