Supply Chain Officer – Work from Home
The Supply Chain Officer supports the day-to-day coordination of domestic and international freight, supplier dispatch, shipment tracking, and supply chain documentation to ensure timely delivery of goods and accurate system records
This role works closely with freight providers, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain service levels, resolve shipment issues, and support the smooth flow of goods across the supply chain function.
- Monitor and follow up on domestic and international freight to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers, and transport providers to obtain tracking information, resolve delays, and manage shipping documentation.
- Update internal systems with shipment statuses and notify relevant teams of any delays or disruptions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm dispatch dates, documentation, and shipping methods.
- Assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation of incoming goods against purchase orders.
- Support the procurement team in ensuring goods are ordered and delivered according to project timelines.
- Prepare and maintain accurate freight records and reports, including PODs, customs documentation, and carrier invoices.
- Communicate proactively with customer service and sales teams regarding expected delivery timelines.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies related to shipments, damaged goods, or delivery errors.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
- Other position-level duties as they arise.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in a supply chain, logistics, or freight coordination role.
- Strong understanding of freight processes across domestic and international channels, including air, sea, and road.
- Experience liaising with freight forwarders, couriers, and suppliers.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document handling.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and basic customs requirements is advantageous.
