Your work plays a critical role in protecting Branch’s revenue, customers, and reputation by delivering clear, well-reasoned risk assessments that inform onboarding decisions and approval conditions.</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="423" data-local-id="daa936b2-173e-4e5f-8cbb-8c4fb7b6215b">This role combines underwriting, KYB due diligence, fraud risk evaluation, and financial analysis in a fast-moving environment. As a senior individual contributor, you will influence portfolio performance, contribute to improving risk models and frameworks, and handle complex, ambiguous cases as the business and risk landscape evolve.</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="761" data-local-id="8fd00b6a-a2ae-4850-8413-d74a7d02d7f9"><strong data-renderer-mark="true">Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</strong></p> <ul> <li data-renderer-start-pos="814" data-local-id="29c1e807-92fb-4f84-b0bc-9420cdc20de6">Conduct comprehensive KYB due diligence, including entity validation, ownership structures, and UBO analysis</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="926" data-local-id="1dcf1a7e-4f1a-4c16-a6fb-2244ccf16616">Maintain working knowledge of applicable regulations related to KYB, AML, and business and consumer protection, incorporating requirements and best practices into decision-making</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="1108" data-local-id="1372939e-9194-47ad-8c13-f1a34a7bfafe">Independently underwrite SMB and enterprise customers, including complex corporate structures, large platforms, and non-traditional business models</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="1259" data-local-id="5ee67e41-e0c9-40cb-845a-0a1332434984">Analyze financial data, including bank activity and financial statements, and alternative data sources to evaluate cash flow trends, sustainability, and key risk indicators&nbsp;</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="1436" data-local-id="d52199dc-baa2-4b0c-96fc-8f16c88ebeb0">Make timely, defensible underwriting decisions in the presence of incomplete, noisy, or imperfect information</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="1549" data-local-id="5094834e-035f-4db5-baa1-3cfba6296c68">Recommend approvals, declines, or risk mitigations aligned with Branch’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements, clearly documenting rationale and communicating trade-offs to stakeholders</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="1743" data-local-id="a72694f3-ef3c-40d9-8a72-30f86309cdad">Monitor payback performance, identify payback failures or emerging risk trends, and support administrative teams in applying collection rules in accordance with established policies and procedures</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="1943" data-local-id="1de6464e-e319-45ad-bb3b-373c58344d07">Assist in building and improving underwriting processes, risk frameworks, and credit models to support scale</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2055" data-local-id="b6d093c6-065a-48e2-af70-568b86f1ac13">Support vendor integrations</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2086" data-local-id="e48cbb1c-0a5f-4aab-b63a-fd8782610f7d">Maintain exceptionally high standards for accuracy, thoroughness, and documentation quality across all work</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2197" data-local-id="e9ba7686-9622-4050-8839-f96c2050a6d8">Flex across the business to support team goals, taking on new problem areas or risk initiatives as needed</li> </ul> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2306" data-local-id="a6b024a4-722c-42cb-be23-9e10361e1a10"><strong data-renderer-mark="true">Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2325" data-local-id="a6b024a4-722c-42cb-be23-9e10361e1a10"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Experience</span> <ul> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2339" data-local-id="d36a3a0e-e884-477d-baab-3d91c60b9094">Degree in analytics, business, accounting, economics, or finance</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2407" data-local-id="3fa4147d-25d8-4934-843a-cac866d67323">7+ years in finance, credit underwriting, consulting, commercial banking, private equity, analytics, or investment banking</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2533" data-local-id="b2a170ba-5118-470b-9c02-178bdc82f2fe">Demonstrated experience underwriting SMB and enterprise businesses, including complex or non-traditional business models</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2657" data-local-id="857b7f38-5ae4-4800-9d69-4d7a49556951">Detail-oriented and trusted to operate independently with minimal supervision</li> </ul> </li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2740" data-local-id="aed1a893-2fe6-4104-81eb-afe694311228"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Technical and Analytical</span> <ul> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2768" data-local-id="58f464f6-d839-46ea-9ca6-75a5674dbb37">Deep expertise in underwriting non-traditional borrowers using alternative data and judgment-based approaches</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2881" data-local-id="e7efa03e-8fec-4c0b-9942-bb4647058b47">Proven ability to analyze business data and financial statements&nbsp;</li> <li data-renderer-start-pos="2950" data-local-id="b2e1c105-b64b-442f-bda6-bd81607f298c">Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, including complex formulas and data manipulation;
